I just got my new game that I've been looking forward to
Been camped out at the midnight release and I got back home 'round two
Grab my popcorn, grab my beer, in my awesome gaming chair
Turn on the console, let it load, pop in the disc and here we go!

Made a badass sorcerer whose name is Jim the Wise
Cleared the first twelve dungeons 'til the sun was on the rise
My roommate woke up feelin' pretty tired when he
Tripped over the wire which turned the system off
And that's when I realized I had never saved!

Reached the final boss fight after 47 hours
Been grinding up the last few levels and I filled my magic power
Optimizing all my gear, knowing that the end is near
Heading down the final road, all healed up I'm good to go!

First half of the battle took my slightly by surprise
Acquired status ailments and I used all my revives
I raised my defense but took some critical hits and sadly
The boss was too tough 'cause he killed all of my friends
And that's when I realized I forgot to save!

Lightning strike shut off the power, cat chewed up the sensor wire
Cartridge popped out in my pocket, wish there was a way to lock it
Batteries died in the middle of the night, ran out of space by a single byte
Got really mad so I killed the whole town, but now that file's broken 'cause nobody is around
So be careful where you save, but definitely save!
